Refund, Cancellation, and Rescheduling Policy

This policy applies to speaking engagements, workshops, consulting, and related services booked with John Huynh, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

1) Deposits
A 25% deposit may be required to reserve a date. Deposits are applied toward the total fee.
2) Cancellations

More than 30 days before the event: If you cancel in writing more than 30 days before the scheduled date, any amounts paid beyond the 25% deposit will be refunded, and the deposit is retained.

30 days or less before the event: If you cancel within 30 days of the scheduled date, no refunds will be issued (including the deposit), due to scheduling commitments and date reservation.
Cancellation must be made in writing to toserveintruth@gmail.com.
3) Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, we will make reasonable efforts to find a new date.
Weather-related issues: If severe weather, unsafe travel conditions, or venue closures make the engagement impracticable, the engagement may be rescheduled without penalty. If travel expenses have already been incurred, those costs remain the responsibility of the booking party.
4) Travel and reimbursable expenses
If the engagement involves travel and the booking party has agreed to reimburse travel expenses (airfare, lodging, ground transportation, etc.), those expenses are nonrefundable once booked or incurred, regardless of cancellation.
5) Exceptions and force majeure
If an event cannot occur due to circumstances outside either party’s reasonable control (for example: natural disaster, major weather event, public emergency, government restriction, serious illness), the default remedy is rescheduling. Refunds, if any, are at the sole discretion of John Huynh and may be limited by nonrecoverable costs already incurred.
6) Payment disputes
If you have concerns about an invoice or payment, please contact toserveintruth@gmail.com before initiating a chargeback so we can try to resolve the issue quickly and fairly.
